Annalise Lockhart

Producer

Annalise Lockhart is a filmmaker born and raised in NYC. Both her fiction and non-fiction narrative work center around themes of Afro-futurism, climate change, and reparative justice. She has produced films that have screened at Sundance, SXSW, Rotterdam, and Fantasia, among many others. In 2023, she produced Matthew Barney's latest feature length film project, SECONDARY, which premiered to critical acclaim. Her directorial debut short film, INHERITANCE, won numerous awards including Best US Short at the Palm Springs Shortfest 2021, the Lionsgate/Starz Award for Best Speculative Fiction at BlackStar Film Festival, and Best Director: Fantastic Shorts at Fantastic Fest. She was profiled in Filmmaker Magazine’s 25 New Faces of Independent Film 2021. 


She has worked extensively as a 1st Assistant Director on projects such as Reservation Dogs (FX), Random Acts of Flyness (HBO), The Assistant, and The Fits. She received her B.A. in English Literature and Creative Writing while at Stanford University.

Isabella Rischall

Writer/Research Lead

Isabella is a PhD candidate at New York University studying the brain and mind through theoretical neuroscience. Her research focus integrates methods that characterize emergent phenomena in complex systems with questions regarding the neural basis of cognition, decision-making, and abstraction. Her neuroscience work has been inspired, in part, by a fascination with psychedelic phenomenology. She has held roles in psychedelic community organizing, harm reduction initiatives, and science communication for legal advocacy.

Benjamin Hayes

Director

A documentary filmmaker-turned-psychedelic researcher, Benjamin Hayes is looking to understand. He has spent the last five years filming and directing content in the psychedelics industry, producing work with the Global Psychedelic Society, The Aspen Psychedelic Symposium, The Psychedelic Assembly NYC, The Psychedelic Sisterhood, The Brooklyn Psychedelic Society, and Psychedelics Thailand.

He has directed cinematography for BBC America, The International Center for Photography, and numerous short documentaries. His music videos, directed for Spinach Records, have received hundreds of thousands of views. His short directorial debut, How to Run Away From Home, screened at The Indiana Film Festival, and his second film Jacob Springs was chosen as Labocine Science Cinema’s featured Pick of the Week.
